Frequently Asked Questions

    • Where is the air show?
      Atlanta Motor Speedway – 1500 Highway 19 and 41 Hampton, GA 30228.
    • What are the hours of the event?
      Gates open each day at 10 am and close at 5 pm.  Flight performances take place from Noon to 4 pm.
    • What time does the Flight Line Club VIP and Corporate Suites open?
      10:30 am each day.
    • Is re-entry allowed into the Atlanta Motor Speedway?
      Re-entry is allowed into Atlanta Motor Speedway. Please make sure to get your hand stamped upon exit for re-entry into Atlanta Motor Speedway.
    • Is tailgating permitted in Parking Lots for the Atlanta Air Show?
      Due to safety and security, tailgating or loitering of any kind in the parking lots is strictly prohibited. This will be STRICTLY ENFORCED
    • Will the schedule be the same both days?
      Mostly. Performers are scheduled to perform both days unless noted otherwise on the Performer page.
    • Will the static displays be open all day or do they close when the air performances start?
      Static displays will be open from 10am – 5pm including during flight performances.
    • Do Flight Line Skybox tickets include parking?
      YES, each Flight Line Club Skybox ticket purchase includes a reserved parking permit for the VIP lot adjacent to the Gate 12 entrance.
    • What is not allowed into Atlanta Motor Speedway?
      Coolers, outside food and beverage, weapons of any kind, fireworks, drones, hoverboards, skateboards, strollers, canteens, camelbacks, tent structures, self-standing umbrellas and pets are all prohibited.  If you arrive to the front gate with these items, you will be directed by security to return them to your car or to discard them in a trash receptacle.
    • Can I bring a cooler with snacks and drinks to the show?
      NO, outside coolers and food/beverage are NOT allowed into Atlanta Motor Speedway. If a patron has special medical dietary restrictions, items will be allowed in reasonable quantities if accompanied by a doctor’s note. You will be asked to present your doctor’s note to security upon entry to the event.
    • Can I bring an umbrella?
      Personal, handheld umbrellas will be allowed into the event. Self standing umbrellas and tent structures are strictly prohibited due to safety.
    • Can I bring sunscreen?
      Sunscreen will be allowed into the air show and its use is highly recommended.
    • Are backpacks allowed?
      Backpacks are allowed and will be subject to security inspection upon entrance into the air show.
    • Are cameras and video recorders allowed?
      Yes, feel free to take as many photos/videos as you would like and share them with us on social media.
    • Are pets allowed entry to the show?
      Pets are not allowed into Atlanta Motor Speedway.  Service animals are permitted.
    • Is there going to be food & drink for purchase at the event?
      Various food & beverage items will be available inside the event site including beer, prices range from $2-$11.
    • Will food and beverage available for purchase be cash only? Will credit cards be accepted?
      Food and beverage vendors will accept both cash and credit.
    • I have a toddler, can I bring diapers and his/her food?
      Diapers will be allowed into the air show. Baby food, formula, breast milk, etc. are allowed in reasonable quantities. Please present your items for inspection upon entry into the event.
    • Is smoking/vaping allowed in the air show?
      NO, remember, we are at an airport and smoking/vaping is not allowed anywhere on the grounds. There will be a designated smoking area just outside of the main gate.
    • How do I become a food vendor at the air show?
      Please reach out to Levy Restaurants @ 770-707-7483.
    • Do you recommend ear protection for children?
      Yes, ear protection for small children is recommended
    • How do I request media credentials?
      Please contact our Director of Public Relations, Chris Dirato at pr@air.show no later than 2 weeks prior to the show.  Only credentialed media are eligible for media credentials to the event.
    • Where is the entrance to the event and how do I get there?
      The entrance for all spectators is located at Gate 12 of Atlanta Motor Speedway.  For directions and parking info Click Here
    • Is handicap accessible parking available?
      Yes, and it is located near Gate 12 with golf cart transportation from the entrance gate up to the concourse level.
    • Where is Parking located?
      Parking is located on Atlanta Motor Speedway grounds and is FREE. There are 887 acres, and there is plenty of room for everyone who wants to park on our grounds to do so. Be aware that if you are being charged to park, you are not on Speedway property.
    • How much is Parking?
      Parking is FREE.
    • Is there motorcycle parking?
      Yes, upon your arrival, please tell parking attendants you would like to park on a hard surface and they will direct you there.
    • Is there RV parking?
      Yes, upon your arrival, please tell parking attendants you would like to park your RV in a surface paved lot.  If you are coming in an RV we do have Premium View and Prime Access Camping available for the show.
    • Can I ride my bicycle to the air show? If so, where can I park?
      Yes, you can ride your bicycle to the air show. You will be able to park and lock up your bicycle in all official air show parking lots
    • Can bicycles be ridden into the air show?
      Bicycles are not allowed on air show grounds.
    • Do you have any special provisions for the handicapped?
      All public areas of the air show are handicapped accessible.
    • Will wheelchairs or scooters available for rent at the event?
      Wheelchairs and scooters will not be available for rent, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
    • Where is handicapped parking located?
      Handicapped parking is located in the surface lot near Gate 12 by the main entrance to the event.
    • What is included in the price of admission?
      Grandstand Seating gets you access to the event grounds from 10am-4pm. Preferred Seating gets you access to the Preferred Seating with chairback seating area and access to the event grounds from 10am – 4pm. Flight Line Club Skybox admission gets you access to the event grounds from 10am-5pm and access to the Flight Line Club (located inside of Club One) starting at 10:30am.
    • Can I bring my own chair into Atlanta Motor Speedway?
      Chairs are not allowed into Atlanta Motor Speedway as seating is provided.
    • Can I bring a stadium seat/cushion?
      Yes. All stadium seats or seat cushions must be smaller than 18 inches wide.
    • Is there assigned seating in the Flight Line Skybox?
      Seating is not assigned in the Flight Line Club.  There will be enough seats for all ticket holders.
    • Will tickets be available at the gate on the day of the show?
      Flight Line Club VIP typically sells out in advance of the show.  General admission tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.
    • Do you offer military discounts?
      Active duty and retired military personnel will be able to purchase Grandstand tickets at the Box Office located at Gate 12 on the day of event for Adults at $10 and Children at $5. All military that attends the show in uniform will be allowed free entry into the Grandstands and will not need a ticket for admission.
    • If I purchased tickets for Saturday can I use them on Sunday instead?
      You cannot use your Saturday ticket for Sunday or vice versa. If you would like to change the date of your ticket, please reach out to our box office by telephone at 877.766.8158 or email at newyorkairshow@completeticketsolutions.com.
    • Can I present my tickets on my cell phone?
      You will be able to present your tickets for entry into the air show on your cell phone. If you purchased a parking pass in advance, please make sure it is printed and visible to parking and traffic attendants.
    • I purchased my tickets in advance, but have not received them, what do I do?

    • What is your rain policy?
      In the event of non-authorized intervention, weather or other causes beyond our control, the event may be terminated or suspended and tickets are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled in its entirety on Saturday due to weather, tickets will be honored on Sunday. If the event is cancelled in its entirety on Sunday or for the weekend due to weather, tickets will be refunded or honored at the 2018 event.

    Can I get the Contact Information for the vendor that was selling the Wooden Carvings at the Atlanta Air Show on 10-15-17. I would like to see if they could do a specific carving for me.
