The Sky Soldiers Tactical Helicopter Demo Team is a dedicated group of veteran pilots performing at various events around the country in support of our country’s military and veterans. The mission of the Sky Soldiers is to demonstrate the Professionalism, Values, Training and Team work found in our military. The public will have a rare opportunity to go for the ride-of-their-life with the Sky Soldiers at the Atlanta Air Show. For more info see below!

The team’s performing AH-IF Cobras, painted in the team’s signature Black and Gold, perform an awe-inspiring routine that demonstrates the dynamic maneuverability and capability of the attack helicopter. The Cobra wad developed from the Huey transport helicopter and was the first purpose-built helicopter gunship to enter military service. The Cobra was armed with an M65 TOW anti-tank missile system, M197 20mm cannon and 2.75″ Folding Fin Aerial Rockets. It was the mainstay of U.S. Army attack aviation from its combat debut in South Vietnam during 1967 until replaced by the AH-64 Apache in the 1980s and ’90s. Versions of the Cobra continue to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps and the armed forces of many nations.

The Sky Soldiers offer two distinctive aerial programs. The featured aerial program is designed for premiere air show presentations. This aerial program is a High energy, 20 minute “up close and personal”, professionally narrated performance of legacy Army attack helicopters performing intricate, precision tactical and parade maneuvers that excite and stimulate the imagination. The program is distinctively different from other military demonstration teams.
