Hey Eric, unfortunately there is no outside food or beverage allowed. There are food vendors on site in the concourse.

    • ATL Air Show says:

Yes, there is companion seating at the handicap seating areas around the stadium. Your guests should be fine to sit close, but we do recommend getting there early, as like all the grandstand seating, it’s first-come, first-serve.

    • ATL Air Show says:

Hey Rustin, because this is at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, seating is on benches or seats so there is no need to bring your own folding chair!

  1. Peggy says:

My grandson is diabetic and always carries a juice box and a small snack, such as a granola bar, in case his sugar runs low. Will he be allowed to bring this in?

    • ATL Air Show says:

Hi Peggy, typically outside food or beverage is not allowed, but there are plenty of snacks for purchase on-site. However, if a patron has special medical dietary restrictions, items will be allowed in small, reasonable quantities if accompanied by a doctor’s note. You will be asked to present your doctor’s note to security upon entry to the event. Please see our FAQ page for more detail.

  2. Diane says:

    1. What is the beginning and ending times of the actual air show? And how early can you enter the grandstand area?
    2. Is there anything to do other than the actual air show? Are there parked aircraft that you could walk up to and ask questions of the pilots or anything else?
    3. Can I bring any small snacks or fruit? Or only water?
    4. How does one keep their seat if they get up to walk around?
    5. Are there refunds for bad weather? A downpour or lightning? And would they call off show based on forecast? (I’m over an hour away.)

    • ATL Air Show says:

Hi Diane, the air show opens at 10 am and the show runs from noon to about 3:30 pm. There will be helicopters to view, but there will not be other static displays because the show is at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. No outside food or beverage besides 1L of water per person is allowed; however there are tons of food vendors with a variety of food for sale. There is an infinite amount of seating, so there’s no worries on keeping the seats – you will have PLENTY of room to view. Rain Policy: In the event of non-authorized intervention, weather, or other causes beyond our control, the event may be terminated or suspended and tickets are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled in its entirety on Saturday due to weather, tickets will be honored on Sunday. If the event is cancelled in its entirety on Sunday or for the weekend due to weather, tickets will be refunded or honored at the next year’s event.

  3. Verna Slade says:

Are people not allowed to not sit, and just walk around during the show? We don’t want to climb all over people getting up and down all day.
Can we bring our own water or anything to drink?

    • ATL Air Show says:

Hi Verna, so because we are at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, there is a TON of great seating! Guests are invited to find a spot, then come and go as they please, especially to go check out our vendors and food concessionaires in the concourse. You’ll be just fine coming and going. You are allowed to bring in water only. Other drinks are available for purchase at the concession stands.
